Aikamoinen puutarha

Tämä on vähän monimutkainen juttu, koska terveydentilani takia en kestä oikein kuumaa enkä kylmää ja täällä päin riittää kyllä molempia. Tai siis riippuu ihan missä tällä seudulla talvensa viettää, vaikkapa Kreikassa on suht lämmintä, mutta Balkanilla on paikkoja, joiden talvet eivät juuri eroa Etelä-Suomen vähän leudommasta talvesta. Jos kylmyyden välttäminen olisi minulle olennaista, niin olisin kyllä muualla kuin missä nyt olen, vaikka nautinkin suuresti siitä, että talvi on selvästi lyhempi ja kesä taas pidempi.

Tykkään myös siitä, että ilmasto on kuiva, niin sademäärien kuin ilmankosteudenkin takia, tosin täällä sateet tuntuvat tulevan ryppäinä - voi olla kuukausi että sataa vain kerran, tai ilmeisesti voi olla myös kuukausia, jolloin sataa jatkuvasti, ja tätä ei näe siis kalenterista, vaan se voi olla myös kuivina vuodenaikoina.

Sanoisin myös kaikille, jotka eivät pidä Suomen talvesta, oli siihen terveyssyitä tai ei, että jos pystyt työn yms puolesta olemaan ulkomailla talven, niin se on ihan sallittu vaihtoehto! Toki tähän liittyy ilmastonäkökulmia (lentäminen) jne, mutta itse tulen perheestä, jossa pidettiin tosi junttina mennä talveksi pois Suomesta ja piti aikuisena itse ymmärtää, että eri ihmiset tykkäävät eri jutuista eikä ole mitenkään väärin tai "noloa" jos talvi ei ole oma juttu.

Mutta eiköhän jatketa taas musiikki/shippaushommista tämän jälkeen.

Mä olen se tyyppi joka muutti teininä Lontooseen, mutta asuu nyt lasten takia Suomessa. Mä inhoan Suomen talvea ja huomaan miten tämä marraskuu on taas vienyt kaikki voimat. Väsyttää & masentaa. Kun lapset on aikuistunut niin muutan kyllä pois Suomesta jonnekin etelään talviksi. Omaa työtäni voin tehdä mistä vaan ja samalla palkalla eläisi paremmin jossain muualla.

B seemed sooo different from the live they had before NT. Remember that one? The live was complete chaos but mainly B was kind of distant, wanted to stay in the back (literally and figuratively)
Yesterday he took on the main role but at the same time he seemed very "professional" to me. Don't get me wrong, he was lovely, but seemed a bit guarded is maybe the word I'm looking for? Not that I blame him after all the drama that some fans put them through.
The only glimpse of the "pure" B was when the light flickered.

Did JO have an Insta live before the NT or do you mean the live during the NT in Turku? That live was waaaay different from the one yesterday for sure. Yesterday that light flicking moment seemed indeed the only one in which he let his guard down.

I definitely agree. Bojan was very controlled almost all the time during that live stream. I'm not sure if this about those technical problems. Maybe he was only little bit pissed off

That light flicker!! Ooo, I loved him there!
I like when he's professional like that. Or maybe it was now a mixture of wanting to be professional, but due to technical problems and maybe others being more chill he couldn't stay on that role the whole time... and just seemed a bit serious instead
But it was so nice.
It was funny, I was driving home from work when the discord thing was about to start, and then, as we know, they had those technical problems.
I had to pick a parcel from the post office and drop it to my neighbor before going home. But just when I turned into the yard of the post office the live started.
I couldn't get out of the car bc of course I had to see and hear _everything_ First 10 minutes was nice, but then the live just went on and on and on (nice on the other hand...) but I kind of became a hostage, that just had to sit there like a monk until our honorable boys would mind to end the live

 

@LadySLO:) Someone on Vauva was on one of the Zagreb gigs and said SSOL as well received there and they played it as an encore for the second time. Now I'm curious and a bit puzzled, considering the very poor response to the song on the second Belgrade gig. Like do you think Serbians might identify with Bojan more because of his Serb roots and be more "offended" (or at least annoyed) by them making music in English, or is this just a random, unexplainable thing.

Well, B was different in that live as well, not as controlled as yesterday. But yesterday he seemed to be in charge of the whole thing so maybe it was because of that. Kris wasn't there, maybe B had to be more involved in reading the questions as Kris wasn't there

Hmm interesting question. I haven't read Vauva today. Is the person referring to the first ssol or the second one? The gig you attended had ssol only as the first song of the gig, since you got Djurdjevdan for encore. Maybe this person is talking about the second ssol (=encore? )
The first song played is always a bit tricky. I attended 3 summer gigs in Slovenia and each time they started with Katrina. Only in Koper there was a warm-up group and also a DJ before and after the warm up, and the difference between how Katrina (and even Ne bi smel which was played second) was received was huge! It made a lot of difference.
On the other hand, of course, you may be onto something, it is possible that Serbian audience reacted differently to a song in English than Croatian. Not to go too deep into this, but Croatia is a part of EU while Serbia has had their face slammed into the EU doors many times and they might be feeling a little different to anything that has a bit of a "western" smell.

 

Btw Joymuffin - the review that B shared in his story last night talks about how Siddharta's concert 20 years ago in Zagreb was sold out because so many Slovenian fans came to that concert. Not sure if it's true or not, but it made an interesting story.

Ihmettelen kyllä hieman, miksi halusivat pitää sen liven discordissa. Ei tunnu kovin kätevältä alustalta ja kyllähän tuo live ig:ssä sai enemmän näkyvyyttä kuin olisi tullut tuolla discordin puolella. Oon siis tuolla discordissa, ja ehkä toimii jonkinlaisena lisänä ihan fanaattisemmille faneille vähän niin kuin faniklubina. Mutta jos halutaan maksimaalista näkyvyyttä, niin oon sitä mieltä, että tuollaiset livet kannattaisi pitää mahdollisimman monen seuraajan saatavilla esim. juurikin tuolla ig:ssä.

It sounded like she was talking about the first SSOL. In Belgrade, the audience was more enthusiastic about the DJ playing Abba songs and some Lady Gaga etc before JO than about SSOL! They definitely seemed plenty warmed up. I suspect Finnish teens wouldn't know the lyrics to Abba songs.

And that Siddharta thing is very funny, but I suspect not fully true, since they ended up playing many more concerts in Croatia, the latest one of which was in 2022, I doubt they have all been populated just by Slovenian fans.

Also that Croatian website/paper needs to get a new photographer.

Nimenomaan kai siksi, että sillä saataisiin lisää erittäin aktiivisia superfaneja ennemmin kuin vain kevytseuraajia. Ei se minustakaan ole kovin järkevä päätös, mutta on siinä ainakin jokin logiikka takana.

Mahdollinen nopea reagointi kertoo siitä, että ovat kavereita. Ei ihme, jos B yrittää olla reagoimatta K juttuihin noin yleensä, kun tästäkin tilanteesta tulee analyysia.

Minä olin ajatellut, että se eilinen live oli tavallaan ”kiitos” tälle Discord-yhteisölle, kun tehtailevat niitä videoedittejä.

En itsekään Discordista pidä, mutta en keksi parempaa alustaa järjestää noita editointikilpailuja.

 

I registered at Discord and joined their server when they announced it. I log in sometimes but never for longer than a few minutes To me it seems full of really young fans, under 18 and even younger.
I think maybe Discord was an idea by their new pr staff (the Croatians) as those names appeared at about the same time. I dont quite get the point either.

 

I downloaded that, but I don't know how to use it yet, so where can you follow jokers from there?

Minusta Discord on palveluna suht sekava ja vaikuttaa siltä, että kaikki isommat serverit ovat väistämättä sekavia käyttää. Pieni Discord on mahdollista vielä pitää miellyttävänä, mutta nekin tuntuvat olevan sekavia osalle ihmisistä.
