I've been thinking about this myself - what would happen if a popular Slovenian musician would come out as "non-straight", let's say. But I also have to say, I don't quite understand why they would want to do that, in Slo, or anywhere. I mean, I see two possible reasons for going public with such information.
1) you want to be an activist in the community on at least some level
2) you are in a serious relationship and you don't want to deal with constant rumours, speculations, gossip in the media etc.
If the above doesn't apply, why do it? It's personal and private and nobody's business.
But to answer your question. I do not know. There's this guy who has been a presenter of various TV shows on Slo tv for decades, he's over 50 now. I'm talking family shows, shows that a more conservative population watches. He's an icon and very popular, if not the most popular male presenter. He's extremely private and never speaks about his private life. Not married, no kids, we've officially never heard about any partners, only Gossip about a male partner. I think there's no way most of his audience thinks he's straight. Yet they still watch his shows. So...
But then for a young musician, who is successful, but at the same time, still making a name for himself, my concern is that making such information public, it would turn into a label.
