Entering the stage, right on time, tensely extended, and so spectacular, set a standard that will not be moved for a long time. Joker Out opened his first Belgrade concert with the song "Sunny Side of London".
They introduced themselves as "five Slovenians who came to sing for you", but they are, in fact, much more than that. Bojan's contact with the audience, his smiles, looks and irresistible personality caused general hysteria from the very beginning.
Joker Out presented the English version of the single "Carpe Diem"
With his wit, he held the audience's attention without ceasing and immediately won their full confidence. Although the most mobile, with the role of frontman, he is still far from being in the center of attention. This seems to be a band where everything is divided into five equal parts. The audience absolutely goes crazy for each of them.
"Bojane, I am not a baby seal, but can you please adopt me?", is just one of the cute banners that could be read in the audience. Letters, bouquets, brush holders, flew towards them, almost non-stop.
Delighted that everyone present knew the texts and thus addressed him in fluent Slovenian, Bojan addressed us in fluent Serbian.
Although the ovation was often louder than the sound system, the loudest scream was let out together with our "Demons", while "Katrina" was dedicated to a randomly selected girl from the audience.
There was such a strong collective energy that it would take with it and draw in someone who had never heard a single song of theirs before. At the band's advice, everyone hugged someone who needed it at that very moment.
To summarize, why did this phenomenon take hold? When someone gives himself and beyond his maximum to the audience, when he enjoys what he does, everything becomes completely logical. The five of them absolutely deserved every second of their success, there is no doubt about that. Nowadays, it is rare to meet a band that values its audience immensely, and on stage there is respect between the members. What they have is earned through sacrifice, work and talent. They are aware of this, their fans are aware of this.
These tireless, energetic guys gave their insatiable audience an unforgettable encore of five songs. As they themselves say, we danced and loved each other all night (them, ourselves, each other, or mutually, as it happened to whom) and all that - as if there was no tomorrow.
Rose petals, confetti, glitter, many sighs and someone's vocal cords will be cleaned from the Americana after this night, but the spirit of an unforgettable concert by some seemingly ordinary Slovenian guys will remain inside for a long, long time...
